To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / MS in engineering preferred / Equivalent Degree
- 10-16 or more years of experience in Design of Packaging for Medical Devices / Home Appliances / Personal Health
- Experience with NX CAD software, ARTIOS, CAPE & Windchill
- DfSS Greenbelt Certified.
- Basic understanding of design for pulp trays & pulp making processes, along with printing techniques and understanding of transport & logistics
- Understanding of material interaction between product & packaging
- Basic knowledge of paper types and their qualities
- Basic design process principles:
- Decision matrix
- Morphologic overview
- Visual design review
- Creative tools for concept creation
- Basic sketching skills
- Windchill PLM software.
- Proven design engineering and project management experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting global projects
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word required
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills required
