We have an exciting legal position in our Indian team to help support our continued success and growth in our region and are looking for a motivated individual with strong commercial acumen to join our team.
About the Role
Sitting on the country leadership team and reporting to the local General Manager, you will be part of our regional sales operations team overseeing India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. This is not a typical legal role, you will have the opportunity to focus on legal, governance, compliance and commercial issues in an international sales operation and be a true business partner. We are part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting our regional sales office to achieve their results and ensure the long-term sustainable success of our company. You will have opportunities to work on a broad range of matters and projects in areas of sales, distribution, health care compliance and corporate governance and be an integral part of our collaborative global legal team.
As part of the sales operations team, you will play a key role in both local and international projects and contribute to the direction of our sales office. This is an interesting and challenging role and it provides a unique opportunity to be involved in a truly global business headquartered in New Zealand.
Skills & Experience
You will have a minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Laws (additional qualifications in accounting, finance, or business are a definite advantage) with around 6-8+ years post-admission experience in corporate/commercial law and have spent time in a major law firm or another corporate/commercial in-house position. As this is an international role it is advantageous that you have had experience working in a multinational company or have worked in a legal role outside of India. You will be able to demonstrate the confidence to provide pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice, the ability to be a team player and to form constructive relationships within a business setting. You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
