Who You Are:
As a Technical Writer for the Local Government GBU you will play a critical role in documenting a suite of service that focus on user experience, Performance, AI/ML, real-time event and data processing.
As a team member, you must not only follow best practices, standards, and processes employed by our team, but Feel comfortable contributing to them as well.
You will have strong communication with a penchant for radiating information.
You enjoy rapid iteration and working closely with Product to design UIs that will delight our users.
You have a strong pulse on the Cloud development community keeping up on news and changes as they come.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for working with the team to develop a documentation strategy for a comprehensive suite of services
You will Collaborate with education, training and documentation focused contributors across the org to align process, delivery and maintenance of our documentation
You will Work with developers every day to best describe the evolving capabilities of the services
You will Work with leadership to refine our processes and approaches
You will be a part of programs teams working on initiatives to move the suite forward
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 8+ years of technical writing experience is required. Proven experience of 5 Years working with the following:
Knowledge and content management systems (Confluence preferred)
Issue tracking and collaboration (Jira and Confluence)
Product/Service ownership or Project Management experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to connect with individuals across the organization
A systems thinker, able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and meticulous implementation; open minded to new insights, approaches, and possesses the technical ability to implement ideas
Experience working with Agile development frameworks
A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive, requiring only small pieces to the puzzle, across many technologies new and legacy

As a member of the technical writing division, you will organize and prepare information for publication and develop publication concepts for the best communication of subject matter. Review technical information prepared by other staff members for clarity and content. Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
