Systel, Inc is looking for an Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and management services for the growing engineering team working from Systel’s India office in Navi Mumbai. This engineering team is comprised primarily of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
The Work(Work from Office Only):
- The India Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership and management services for the growing engineering team working from Systel’s India office. This engineering team is comprised primarily of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
- Serves as the primary technical liaison (for India) between the India and USA-based engineering teams. and is responsible for driving and resolving technical issues to ensure on-time delivery of project/product deliverables.
- In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also be expected to function as an individual contributor responsible for providing engineering services for projects assigned to themselves (primarily in the Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering domains).
- As a technical manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and supporting the following functional group activities.
- Electrical Engineering: researching, designing, developing, documenting, testing, and supporting production of electrical subsystems for use in computers, test equipment, test fixtures, displays, and computer peripherals.
- Mechanical Engineering: providing detailed design and documentation from conception, to prototype, to pre-production, as well as changes to design & documentation during production and for the life of the product.
- Previous technical experience with military computing technology and testing standards is highly desired.
- All work activities shall be conducted in a manner that supports Systel’s Quality Manual, Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, System Level Procedures (SLP) and Work Instructions (WI).
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of BSEE or BSCE: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (Master’s degree desired).
- 5 years’ demonstrated experience managing a technical team
- 7 years’ experience related to mechanical and/or electrical engineering design of electronic systems.
- 3 years’ experience related to the packaging of electronic equipment/systems.
- Knowledge:
- High speed digital interfaces
- Low speed digital interfaces
- Standards: MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ATX, COM Express, 2014/30/EU
- Maintain a work environment conducive to harmony and production in the workplace.
