• Should have thorough knowledge of Steel making, Forging and Heat treatment process, Shop floor experience in SMS, Forgeshop, Heat treatment shop or testing lab is preferable. Should also have good fundamental know-how of physical and mechanical metallurgy.
• Should be knowledgeable about various international codes and specifications of ferrous & Non ferrous (Titanium & Aluminimum) materials
• Should have basic knowledge on destructive and non-destructive testing methods of ferrous & Non ferrous (Titanium & Aluminimum) materials
• Should have prior experience in review of technical documents including customer specifications and drawings and able to reply to technical enquiries pertaining to forgings of various grades
• Perform patrol inspections in SMS, forgeshop and heat treatment shop to analyze various quality related issues observed in shop floor.
• Perform lab scale experiments to validate hypothesis / establish processing parameters for new products
• .Perform microstructural analysis to identify different phases present and establish correlation with the processing parameters and mechanical properties
• Participate in various root cause analysis of metallurgical issues observed in SMS, Forgeshop and heat treatment shop and machine shop
• Experience of data analysis tools like Minitab and simulation software is preferable
• .Should have knowledge of MS office, good communication skills and a good team player
