Develops, implements, and/or maintains one or more accounting systems:
Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.
Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements.
Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
Provides a record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
May prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.
May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.
May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
May be involved in reviewing, tracking, and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Working at NTT
Experience: 4+ years' experience in Accounting
Key responsibilities
- Participate to the month-end reporting process: intercompany reconciliations, run aged customers report with and without VAT, control analytical dimensions, import P&L and BS in the reporting tool.
- Handle payroll postings/intercompany hosting charges and bank postings related to payroll and taxes
- Perform local tax requirements (VAT reporting, income tax accrual calculations)
- Contact for local tax consultants and tax governement
- Administration of the Navision databases: open periods, maintain the set-up of the chart of accounts.
- Monitor reconciliations performed by Genpact team on balance sheet accounts: accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, bonuses,… and perform the reconciliation of the rest of BS accounts handled internally
- Monitor fixed assets accounting related tasks performed by Genpact team: depreciation, write-offs,….
- Assist audit team with internal and external audits
- Support IN audit team in government surveys/local tax reporting as required
- Update Procedures on a regular basis as part of a global service development
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a multi-currency environment (EUR/USD/SEK/NOK etc)
- Computer literacy -MS Office including Word, Excel & Outlook
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english
- Previous Navision use would be helpful but not essential
- Any relevant certification/qualification (i.e - AAT) would be desirable.
