Position Overview:
As a Zonal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of multiple warehousing facilities within the South India region. In addition to operational oversight, you will play a pivotal role in driving business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Commodity Warehousing Industry, exceptional leadership skills, and proficiency in regional languages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of multiple warehousing facilities within the assigned zone, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market presence and drive revenue growth within the region.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to attract new clients and business partnerships, leveraging industry contacts and market insights.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities to generate leads and acquire new business.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse management team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for operational and service enhancements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, client engagement, and market trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in warehouse management, business development, and client management, preferably in the Commodity Warehousing Industry.
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and managing client relationships in a competitive market environment.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in regional languages preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities and business acumen, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned zone and occasionally nationally as needed.
