BRINGING IT TO THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded expert to join our dynamic SCM, Equipment team. As our Supply ChainEquipment Specialist, you will be:
- This is an equipment development/designing role (not Maintenance role). The individual is expected to replicate the global equipment & smallware in India in partnership with vendors and test for accuracy.
- Design engineers with experience in kitchen equipment Designing.
- Interaction with key stakeholder mgmt.
- Manage the development and evaluation of new and review of current equipment for all KFC India BMU concepts. Provide equipment & smallware related technology support to Operations & FIT as required. Lead and source through open innovation, new technology ideas and potential development for future technology pipeline development.
- Total Stores - FY23 1000 stores
- Design, evaluation, approval of new and review of current equipment & smallware - leveraging Supplier capabilities to YRI advantage.
- Develop and maintain equipment evaluation protocol and performance standards, for both Suppliers (QA) and YRI Operations use.
- Ensure timely support for NPD related to Equipment & Smallware.
- Manage roll-out of new and modified equipment/smallware in conjunction with other Departments including documentation for procedures and training.
- Maintain documentation for controlled equipment /smallware - specification/design manual.
- Recommend Supplier approval, corrective action, termination, in conjunction with Supply Chain Management Department
- Manage audit program for equipment and address remedial action.
- Research advances for best practice in equipment technology/QA to YRI advantage.
- Address equipment design/procedural safety issues with particular focus on risk assessment.
- Ensure appropriate communication to India BU Franchisees.
- Undertake other special project work and financial analysis as required by the business.
We are looking for someone with a :
- Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 to 5 years Food Industry experience with knowledge of equipment manufacture, quality, and auditing programs is essential.
- Multi-unit food service experience and exposure to restaurant, operation and equipment preferred.
Okay to travel. (30% travelling every month)
