We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Trainer specializing in Sustainable Packaging. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive technical training to our R&D team on recyclability and reduction of virgin plastic in the packaging of our SKUs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sustainable Packaging practices, materials science, and experience in delivering engaging and effective training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver technical training programs focused on Sustainable Packaging practices, with an emphasis on recyclability and virgin plastic reduction.
2. Collaborate with the R&D team to understand current packaging designs and identify opportunities for improvement in sustainability.
3. Conduct research on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in Sustainable Packaging to continuously enhance training content.
4. Create training materials, presentations, and resources that effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
5. Provide hands-on training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to educate R&D team members on practical implementation techniques.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on sustainability goals and strategies.
7. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics, and adjust content and delivery methods accordingly.
8. Stay informed about relevant regulations, certifications, and industry standards related to Sustainable Packaging, and integrate this knowledge into training materials.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role related to Sustainable Packaging, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
- Deep understanding of packaging materials, recycling processes, and sustainability principles.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs, workshops, or seminars.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications such as Cradle to Cradle, FSC, or B Corp is a plus.
- Certification in packaging sustainability or related field is desirable.
