Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Draughtsman to join our team. This entry-level position is suitable for individuals with little to no prior experience in the field, but with a strong interest in land surveying and drafting. As a Survey Draughtsman, you will work closely with experienced surveyors and engineers to transform field survey data into detailed drawings and maps using specialized software and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of survey drawings, maps, and plans under the guidance of senior surveyors.
- Convert raw survey data into accurate and detailed digital drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Collaborate with survey teams to ensure that drawings meet project requirements and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized records of survey data, drawings, and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as needed.
- Follow company procedures and standards for drafting and documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in drafting, CAD technology, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
- Basic understanding of land surveying principles and terminology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in land surveying and drafting.
- Prior experience in land surveying or drafting is preferred but not required.
