We are hiring a hi potential Sr. Manager - Supply Chain Manager for our client at Bangalore.
Hi performer role holder will have the potential for global responsibilities (Dubai & Singapore). We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supply Chain Manager with a deep understanding of Supply Chain operations in an e-commerce context, including procurement expertise. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of proven experience in Supply Chain management, with a strong track record of optimising processes, reducing costs, and improving overall Supply Chain efficiency. The Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products and materials through our Supply Chain network, initially overseeing warehouses in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, with the potential for global responsibilities in 24 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives in the e-commerce sector. Collaborate with senior management to set Supply Chain goals and objectives.
- Warehouse Management: Manage and optimise the operations of four warehouses located in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfilment, and delivery within the e-commerce framework.
- Procurement: Lead procurement efforts, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost- effective sourcing of materials, products, and services to support the needs of our e-commerce operations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels while minimising carrying costs in the context of e-commerce.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and cost- effective procurement of materials and services for e-commerce operations.
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products within the e-commerce Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery to customers while minimising transportation costs.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve e-commerce Supply Chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline operations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate Supply Chain risks, including disruptions in the e-commerce Supply Chain, and develop contingency plans.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Supply Chain professionals within the e-commerce sector, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to e-commerce Supply Chain operations to assess effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and e-commerce operations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain management software and tools.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team within the e-commerce context.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry-specific certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
- Experience in a similar role within the e-commerce industry.
- Knowledge of international Supply Chain practices and regulations in the e- commerce sector.
- Potential for Global Responsibilities:Based on exceptional performance, the Supply Chain Manager has the potential for global responsibilities within 24 months, overseeing warehouses in Dubai and Singapore.
