PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Bekaert is leading transformation program to enhance the digital experience end-to-end that drive impact across multiple channels covering operations and commercial, with focus to improve relative cost position & cash utilization in manufacturing and supply chain operations, increase customer intimacy & conversion of marketing efforts in commercial

• Your role as Senior Solution Architect for Production, Plant Maintenance and Quality of SAP is to describe new solution context, transform requirements into specific Solution Architecture design documents;
• Design technology solutions and goals for a specific new project, enhancement, in collaboration with Domain Architect and Product/Project Managers;
• Work with Domain Architect to ensure Solution Architecture align to program/project design guidelines, maintain and transform the capability of existing SAP application

Key responsibility

• Contributing together with the Business & Technology teams for defining and implementing the IT roadmap for Manufacturing domain. You will also be contributing in streamlining the product operations in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

• Review the requirements, principles and models and guide technology decisions for the IT organization across different business units at Bekaert.

• Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement.

• Be subject matter expert in SAP Material Management, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Quality and the integration with Planning and MES system.

• Work closely with product managers, product owners, business analysts, etc. Understand business requirement, design manufacturing and quality control solutions, translate to development and implementation team, test the solution end to end and handover to business analyst or product owner/manager for further deployment.

• Lead technology implementation and modification activities mainly in area of process-based manufacturing and quality control with MTO, MTS, CTO and ETO business scenarios

• Design and maintain the master data model supporting Define, Plan, Make business capabilities.

• Integration design between SAP and third-party systems for transaction and process flow using various Industry standard Interface practices.

• Steer efficient utilization and deployment of various technology products, technology platform, development technologies, information, data, security controls and infrastructure services.

• Works with Bekaert Architect community (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions, and security architects) to analyze enterprise business context (business strategy and trends) and derive the future state technology architecture.

Skills & Competencies

• Solid experience in SAP Production, Plant Maintenance and Quality functions, deep technical and business process knowledge in the master data of product design, planning, manufacturing process and quality control of Process Industry, hands on knowledge of SAP MM, PP, QM, Variant Configuration is must

• Business process engineering experience in area of manufacturing and quality including MTO, CTO, ETO, MTS is essential.

• Good understanding of the Integration within SAP with other integral functions.

• Strong understanding of the current and future technology architecture, middleware, application integration

• S/4 HANA migration experience is a plus.

• Passionate about quality and continuous improvement, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, result oriented and proactive

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders as well as solution developers.

• Ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results.

• Ability to work within an IT organization and in-and-out outsourced environment.

• Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to understand the long-term ('big picture') and short-term perspectives of situations.

• Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution alternatives.

• Ability to assess product quality and other non-functional attributes and provide recommendations.

• Project management especially agile working experience is a plus.

• Experience with leading a team and collaboration with external IT partners.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, multi-cultural sensitivity and willing to travel up to 20% of the time. (international/intercontinental travel)

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor degree or above with 10 years relevant experience, or equivalent through experience.

• 10+ years into Solution Architecture, design and delivery of SAP Production, Plant Maintenance & Quality management solutions in process manufacturing domain with solid hand-on experience of SAP products

• Experience of leading solution build and implementation at large scale.

• Significant experience in delivering strategic projects is a plus.

• Experience in working with globally distributed teams and partners.
