Required Skills
- Experience with AWS components, with most if not all components
- Experience with Elastic Beanstalk, SQS, SES, SNS, EC2, Autoscaling, Cloud front, VPC (Private & Public / private subnetting, NAT)
- Defining IAM roles and policies
- Strong Scripting experience (Shell, Bash, Ruby, Python) - Code Deploy, Code Pipeline
- Strong Linux/Amazon/CentOS/ Ubuntu system administration skills (patching, configuration, etc.)
- Windows (inperticual user management via Active directory)
- Good knowledge of Git and its branching model
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and Continuous Deployment
- Experience with building zero-downtime deployment solutions in cloud environments
- Experience with non-functional testing, such as security and performance testing, etc. Good to have
- Knowledge of Compliance and security practices
- Automation tools like Terraform, Ansible and Chef
- Understanding RPO and RTO + Disaster recovery procedures. should have the ability to review laws/compliance docs and design and implement cloud infra as per compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, support and maintain cloud-based components for supporting test and development environments
- Create, maintain, and enhance the following: test, validation, and logging infrastructure for our AWS/cloud components. Need to support all 3 major cloud service providers GCP AZure and AWWS
- Dive deep into the software stack to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations We do not expect the devOps person to have knowledge of development processes, deployment is mandatory
- Performance tuning, monitoring, maintaining fault-tolerant/HA infrastructure to deliver highly scalable services
- Collaborate with developers and architects to refine build, test, and release practices across the organization This is good to have
- Proactive monitoring of server systems
- Manage multiple concurrent releases/builds from different projects
- Continuously work to improve provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment, and release processes for the purposes of company growth, user experience, and timely product delivery.
