Job description

AIPH University is looking for several dynamic research personnel to work in the field, hospital, and laboratory settings. Various ongoing and planned studies include surveillance of infection in neonates and children, recording of maternal and child nutritional status, and conducting other monitoring in a longitudinal manner. The two large mother-baby cohorts of AIPH in Khorda and Sundergarh districts with geocoded homes are being used for these studies. Questionnaire-based follow up using standard instruments on Tablets will be used along with collection of finger prick blood samples. Spirometry will be done by clinicians at attached hospitals or in the field depending on the setting. Additional work may involve working with the government health systems and collecting primary data locally or extract data from available databases with the state government for secondary analyses.


Degree in public health (e.g. MPH, MHA) and some experience in field work preferred but not mandatory. Positions in the laboratory require an MSc degree in microbiology or biological sciences. Those with training and working knowledge in biostatistics and epidemiology will be given preference.


Those enrolled in a relevant PhD program at AIPH University or at another institution of similar repute can be considered for part-time positions and get an excellent opportunity to work with investigators from other major institutions in India and abroad.
