Product Owner - Mwp/Platform

Reporting to the VP of Platform, you will work directly with the Product Manager and the MyWorkplace development team to deliver the MyWorkplace framework. You will work closely with the development team, internal customers and end-user customers, acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring that features are delivered to meet customer needs.

You will own the product backlog, and prioritise the development of these along with the product manager, focussing on delivering maximum value to customers, and meeting business objectives

The role involves the day-to-day management of product issues, engagement directly in development scrums, fostering seamless team and stakeholder communication.

1. Translate product strategy into actionable concepts and detailed requirements, scoping and prioritising activities based on customer demand and business needs.
2. Act as the “Product Expert” both internally and externally, providing an important link liaising between the customer and Development/UI/UX teams. Engage with customers sharing progress updates, providing product examples and examining feedback
3. Utilise customer feedback, market conditions and performance metrics to drive product improvements.
4. Oversee User Acceptance Testing with customers, identify and discuss potential issues.
5. Identify product / functionality gaps and generate ideas to improve customer journeys.
6. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, adapting to evolving industry trends and user needs.

1. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The ability to prioritise several development requirements within the overall roadmap and development strategy
2. The confidence to challenge and question user requirements and convert them into business solutions
3. Excellent planning skills. Ability to work across an annual roadmap and strategy, plus short-term customer demand, and bug fixes.
4. A strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
5. Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships with internal teams, external customers and others
6. Experience in SaaS software development. Knowledge of agile and continuous deployment working practices
7. Understanding of Platform as a Service. Knowledge of how UX and UI platforms can be used and re-used to add value to a variety of Cloud/SaaS software applications
