Key Responsibilities:
1. Employer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, industry professionals, and alumni to understand their hiring needs and preferences.
- Identify potential job and internship opportunities for students and graduates.
- Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and employer engagement activities to promote the institution and its students.
2. Job Placement Coordination:
- Assist students and graduates in their job search process, including resume and cover letter preparation, interview skills development, and job application strategies.
- Coordinate and facilitate the placement process, including collecting job requirements, matching students' skills and qualifications with available positions, and managing the application and selection process.
- Provide guidance and support in negotiating job offers, reviewing employment contracts, and ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace.
3. Career Counseling and Guidance:
- Conduct individual career counseling sessions with students to understand their career goals, interests, and aspirations.
- Provide guidance and advice on career planning, exploring different career paths, and identifying areas for skill development.
- Administer career assessments and tools to help students assess their strengths and interests.
- Offer advice on professional development opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, and industry certifications.
4. Internship Program Management:
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop and manage internship programs.
- Facilitate the placement of students in internships and monitor their progress throughout the internship period.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students on their internship experience and help them make the most of the opportunity.
5. Collaboration and Networking:
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni to foster a culture of career readiness and employability across the institution.
- Engage with external organizations, professional associations, and industry networks to expand employer partnerships and stay connected with industry developments.
- Coordinate with academic departments to align career services initiatives with curriculum requirements and student needs.
6. Job Placement Coordination:
- Assist students and graduates in their job search process.
- Collect job requirements and match students' skills with available positions.
- Coordinate the application and selection process.
- Facilitate job offer negotiations and review employment contracts.
