Job Description:
JKKN Institution is seeking a Hostel Warden/Administrative Officer to manage the hostel and provide administrative support to the Director of Administration. The Hostel Warden/Administrative Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring the safety and security of the residents, and ensuring that the hostel meets the needs of its occupants.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the hostel and ensure that it is running smoothly
- Ensure that the hostel is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
- Oversee the admission and discharge of hostel residents
- Ensure that hostel rules and regulations are followed by all residents
- Address any issues or complaints raised by hostel residents
- Prepare reports and provide updates to the Director of Administration on hostel operations
- Manage the hostel budget and ensure that expenses are within the allocated budget
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the hostel
- Ensure that the hostel is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hostel management or a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Knowledge of hostel regulations and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
