The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, design, and execution of complex projects, including Green Field initiatives and plant expansions. This senior leadership role demands expertise in project management within the Packaging focusing on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Project Planning:
a. Formulate and execute project strategies that are in line with corporate objectives and market trends.
b. Oversee planning and delivery of key green field projects and Brown Field projects.
c. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments in the planning phase.
2. Project Design and Compliance:
a. Oversee the design phase, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and Legal compliance
b. Integrate sustainability and safety considerations into project designs.
3. Project Execution and Management:
a. Lead the execution of projects, managing timelines, budgets, and quality control.
b. Utilize PERT, CPM, PMBOK, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to enhance project efficiency.
4. Advanced Technology Integration: Implement AI, IoT, automation, and data analytics in project management for real-time tracking and decision-making.
5. Sustainable Project Practices:
a. Drive projects towards sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.
b. Ensure carbon-neutral outcomes in alignment with environmental regulations.
6. Safety and Ergonomic Planning:
a. Prioritize health, safety, and ergonomic considerations in project planning and execution.
b. Regularly conduct safety audits and ergonomic assessments to ensure Project compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
7. Quality Management: Establish rigorous quality management systems to ensure excellence in project delivery.
8. Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, balancing project needs with productivity and cost-effectiveness.
9. Risk Management:
a. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans.
b. Regularly review and adjust strategies to mitigate potential risks.
10. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout project phases.
11. Vendor and Equipment Selection: Oversee the selection and management of vendors and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
12. Team Leadership and Development:
a. Lead and cultivate a skilled project management team.
b. Promote professional development through training and mentorship.
13. Project Documentation and Reporting:
a. Ensure detailed documentation and regular reporting on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
14. Global Best Practices Adoption:
a. Stay abreast of global trends and innovations in project management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical or chemical engineering; masters degree preferred.
- Mandatory PMP certification; additional qualifications in compliance and project management methodologies preferred.
- At least 18-28 years of experience in project management, specifically in the specialty chemical industry.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on compliance, sustainability, and innovation.
