Job description

Learning and Development Head


- Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Designs and develops HR training programs for management and employees.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
- Trains employees on HR issues and practices. Presents course materials.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance
- Build a culture of performance across the organization with oversight and continued development of the Performance Review & Development framework
- In conjunction with the Executive Team, ensure all Learning and Development is strategically linked to organizational needs and aligned to performance reviews and business planning processes
- Develop and update a Learning Program each year after the Performance Review process
- Create a leadership development framework to maximize leadership capability and embed a coaching culture in support of delivering on strategy outcomes.
- Ensure market driven benchmarking and transparent annual review processes
- Review and strengthen Ajmal's Financial and non-financial Benefits offerings
- Strong functional knowledge of all aspects of human resource management in formulating and executing Human Resource Strategy, which aligns to the overall business goals
- Design the annual HR budget and ensure optimal utilization of resources to ensure effective outcome for all HR metrics

- Ensure timely hiring of the right person for the right job through various sources
- Talent Management: Track staff movement, attrition and vacancies and ensures vacancies are filled within stipulated time using the most effective and cost-efficient method and sources
- Ensuring creation and implementation of Induction process for all new joinees.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Read and understand the broader business environment and provide expert and informed analysis and strategic advice to ongoing operations and expected decisions.
- High level analysis of key people data and trends in support of strategic priorities, advising an appropriate course of action as required.
- Design and lead initiatives including research and diagnostics (e.g. annual employee engagement survey and exit interviews), to maximize the engagement of all employees and build organizational commitment to the desired culture
- Scope, develop and lead implementation of Ajmal's Diversity & Inclusion Strategy
- Grievance handling of employees at HO and Field force
- Develop, Implement and monitor an effective and transparent performance management system and actively participate in the setting and reviewing People goals every quarter.
- Ensure effective delivery and take up of the Employee Assistance Program.
- Taking initiatives for reducing the attrition rate
- Talent Succession Plan for critical roles
- To administer and implement HR policies and procedures
- Ensure 100% adherence to Statutory compliances
- Maintaining employee relations
- Drive and lead the agenda on employee engagement.
- Ensure the organizations compliance with applicable health, building, zoning, and safety licensing and certification requirements.
- Arrange and coordinate corporate events/programs.
Qualifications:
- Preferably an MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute
- Preferably with experience in Start-up companies/ companies with employee-centric culture.
- Adeptness and ability to cope with a fast-paced work environment by being hands-on
- Passionate about innovative people solutions and process improvement
- Excellent communication and articulation skills
- Collaborative mindset and a team player
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- In-depth understanding of People functions and practices
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and analytical thinking skills
