Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer and AI/ML Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geospatial analysis, web mapping technologies, database management with GIS extensions, and experience with various GIS software. This role involves multitasking across research and development, training, and software development to innovate and implement geospatial solutions for environmental and conservation projects.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and enhance GIS web applications using technologies like ESRI JavaScript API, OpenLayers, or Leaflet API.

- Conduct AI/ML training sessions covering topics from basic machine learning concepts to advanced geospatial analysis applications.

- Engage in research and development to explore new ways of applying AI/ML in geospatial contexts, including landslide susceptibility mapping and air quality prediction.

- Manage and analyze geospatial data using databases like PostgreSQL and extensions like PostGIS, ensuring quality and accuracy for spatial analysis.

- Utilize GIS software (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) for remote sensing and advanced geospatial modeling.

- Implement and maintain GIS servers such as ArcGIS Enterprise or GeoServer for project needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, GeoPandas, GDAL).

- Expertise in web mapping technologies (ESRI JavaScript API, OpenLayers, Leaflet) and GIS servers (ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoServer).

- Solid understanding of database management, particularly PostgreSQL with PostGIS.

- Experience with AI/ML in a geospatial context, including familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data preprocessing techniques.

- Excellent multitasking abilities, capable of leading training programs, conducting R&D, and developing software simultaneously.
