The Service Management (SM) team is a techno-functional group responsible for supporting system operations for various finance functions like US Regulatory Reporting. The team is also responsible for product ownership, development and support to analytics and automation required for finance and regulatory reporting. This team has a holistic view of the data sources, processes, outputs, and the ability to troubleshoot, triage operational issues and resolve problems interfaced through various system related to data intake, enrichment and ensuring timely delivery for downstream consumption.
How will you make an impact in this role?
This role focuses on working closely with the Finance Business owners and Tech partners to develop and support the Regulatory Reporting data analytics and governance processes using analytical mindset and knowledge of analytical tools.
Analyze Finance Regulatory Reporting needs and translate them into specific requirements and tasks for technology partners.
Retrieve and analyze the data from underlying analytical/operational databases.
Build data visualization dashboards and other analytical capabilities for the end users. This includes building scorecards, dashboards, analytical queries used for attestation, validation, and analysis of the base data as well as the regulatory reports, using the tools such as OBIEE/OAS & Tableau.
Perform testing and validation of the technology builds to ensure seamless business process transition and create relevant documentation.
Responsible for problem management including analyzing and troubleshooting the incidents impacting the accuracy or the ability to generate the regulatory reports.
Develop deeper functional & technical knowledge on Finance systems, including:
Prepare design documents, document key decision and presentation metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors in information technology or computer science with ~5 years of experience, preferable in analytics is required.
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE/OAS), Tableau or a similar analytical toolset is strongly recommended.
Experience with analytical and programming toolsets (e.g., SQL, basic HTML coding) is required.
Experience with Oracle Financials eBusiness Suite, especially the GL, HFM, Financial Accounting Hub, Consolidations, and reporting suite of application, desired.
Experience with American Express accounting and reporting processes, including financial and regulatory reporting, would be a plus.
Strong team player who can not only facilitate collaboration but can also step up and lead.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate results to stakeholders.
Must be a self-starter with an ability to drive large scale change.
Creative mindset; comfort working in undefined space and seizing new opportunities.
Understanding and experience with Regulatory reports like FR-Y9C/9LP, FR-2314/Y11, FR-Y14s would be a plus
