Job description

- Legal Assistant performs clerical work and provides direct assistance to the legal office

-They maintain the entire back office function of a legal office

-We are looking to hire a legal administrative Assistant / Secretary

-A person should be good in office administration- Expected to work comfortably under pressure with tight deadlines

- oriented, exercise sound judgment and must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen interest in providing purposeful support to lawyers

-Should possess a sense of accuracy, IT skills, and excellent time management

-Ensure efficient and effective administration of back-office function in the legal department-

-Record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents-

-Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and reports

-Should be able to give the first level of arguments on legal documents- Obtain relevant information s from other functions, stakeholders (both internal external)

-Do timely follow-ups, where needed- Create and organize information, and generate reference tools for easy use by the legal office- Prepare and format legal management reports

-Maintain and update databases and tracking systems

-Respond to queries Education Training: (Basic Professional)- Graduate or Post Graduate with English at least as a major subject [Proficient in English (both speaking and writing) is a must]

- Bachelor s degree in law or certificate in paralegal

- Desirable Technical know-how: (Mention the technology on which person must be experienced)Mandatory

- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentationGood to know

- Research work, familiar with legal principles Soft Skills: (Inputs on soft skills required for the role, like team management, communication, customer management, etc)

- Analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies

-Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents

- Brilliant written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Good organization skills and detail-oriented
