Job Description
ServiceNow's Skills Intelligence team is responsible for finding, developing, and using data from internal and external HR data to help improve the experience for our users and customers. From predicting finding new and trending skills, to text mining hundreds of millions of textual documents.
The ideal candidate for this position is a talented DevOps Engineer with a solid understanding of creating, maintaining, and improving infrastructure on our team. They must be driven to help the engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to contribute via data pipelines, code, and testing. The candidate will bring best practices into our team and leverage tools such as Terraform, AWS, Jenkins, and Git to help with automation, deployments, and system reliability. The role reports into the Staff Data Engineer, Data Science, Employee Workflows.

- Implementing DevOps best practices with methodologies and tools for automation, deployment, and system efficiency for the team.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and diagnose problems.
- Developing automation tools to facilitate and improve day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
4+ years of experience managing, designing, and supporting production and non-production data environments, with some experience with AWS.
- Proficiency with python, terraform, AWS, SQL, and some experience with Java.
- Experience and desire to help improve team’s use of automation, deployment tools, and testing infrastructure.
- Experience with data structures, data formats, and database technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies developing and deploying mission-critical software.
- Eagerness to learn everything about the ServiceNow Platform.
- Desire to work closely alongside a rapidly moving data science team.
