About the Role
Core responsibility is to understand the client's requirements and deliver excellence as per the go-to market strategy of our clients.
You will take the lead in many areas of project development. One day you may need to access your market knowledge to strategize and present your vision to stakeholders, another day you might need to roll up developer sleeves to help the team meet their goals during a sprint.
Nature of the role demands high collaboration as multiple stakeholders are involved in delivering high quality products/projects to our global clients. Understanding the business, domain, technology and people are primary to this role. You own this!
Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements from the client and scope them appropriately
- Act as a liaison between the client, design team and development team
- Write user stories and own deliverables
- Create MVP, mockups, wireframes, roadmaps
- Strategically plan for and write SRS, Product Backlogs, Sprint Backlogs etc
- Effectively track and report project progress on a day to day basis using agile/kanban methodologies
- Maintain high visibility of project status, risks and dependencies
- Motivate the team towards delivering a high quality, on-time, on-budget product
Requirements
Must have skills
- Overall 6 to 8 years of IT experience with at least 1 year of relevant experience as a Product Owner
- Developers who have transitioned to Product owners will be an ideal fit
- Sound knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Kanban Methodologies
- Technology enthusiast, flexible and coachable, high learnability and client focussed
- Must have strong experience in project and /product management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Manage a team and own people growth and handle people concerns
Attention to quality
- Should be well versed in handling project risks and dependencies
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and oral
- You are required to work from the office during the initial 6 months. Brownie points if you are an office person!
- An ideal person for this role is someone with a flexible mindset, technology enthusiast, customer focussed and loves building sustainable, repeatable solutions.
Good to have skills
