Job Title: Clerk/Paralegal

The Role:
As a Clerk/Paralegal, you will be responsible in assisting our attorneys with administrative and legal tasks to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction. You will perform a variety of duties, including legal research, document management, case preparation, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the legal profession.
What you will do:
Assist attorneys with legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulations, to support case preparation and strategy development.
Organize and maintain legal documents, files, and case records, ensuring accuracy,
completeness, and confidentiality.
Draft and prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, contracts, and
correspondence, under attorney supervision.
Coordinate case calendars, deadlines, and appointments, and assist with scheduling court
appearances, meetings, and depositions.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information, obtain
documents, and provide updates on case status.
Assist with discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production, and prepare deposition summaries and exhibits.
Conduct factual investigations, gather evidence, and compile relevant information for case preparation.
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing trial exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and providing courtroom support.
Prepare and file legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and other relevant
entities, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, managing mail, and maintaining
office supplies, as needed.
The Successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
Paralegal certificate or equivalent training/experience required.
Previous experience as a clerk paralegal or legal assistant preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document formats.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
