Summary:
The Yoga Instructor is responsible for leading yoga sessions tailored to the needs of employees within a corporate environment. The primary goal is to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among employees by offering stress-relief, relaxation, and fitness through yoga practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead yoga classes specifically designed for employees, considering their varying skill levels, fitness levels, and stress levels.
- Develop and implement customized yoga sessions that address the specific needs and concerns of corporate professionals, such as stress reduction, improving posture from prolonged sitting, and boosting energy levels.
- Provide clear and concise instructions for yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
- Demonstrate proper alignment and form in poses and offer modifications as needed to accommodate individual abilities and limitations.
- Offer guidance on stress management, mindfulness, and self-care practices that can be incorporated into employees' daily routines.
- Educate employees on the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga practice.
- Encourage employees to prioritize their health and well-being by participating in yoga classes regularly.
- Provide resources and recommendations for maintaining a healthy lifestyle outside of yoga sessions, including nutrition, exercise, and stress management tips.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for employees of all backgrounds and fitness levels.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with employees.
- Monitor participants' progress and adjust class content and intensity accordingly.
- Solicit feedback from employees to continually improve the quality of yoga sessions and meet their evolving needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Completion of a recognized yoga teacher training program from a reputable yoga school.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching yoga, particularly in corporate settings or with working professionals, is preferred.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of yoga poses, breathing techniques, relaxation methods, and their applications for stress management and wellness.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate employees during yoga sessions.
Frequency: Thrice a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday preferably)
Time: 4:15 PM (45 minutes preferably)
