Job description

Business Development Manager ( Shipping line)
1. Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging markets and customer trends, as well as prospective clients, to expand our market footprint.
2. Proactively arrange and manage business meetings with potential clients to explore new opportunities.
3. Engage in diligent follow-ups to ensure deals are closed efficiently and effectively.
4. Develop and implement innovative strategies for business growth by analyzing target demographics, economic trends, customer needs, and areas of interest.
5. Enhance lead generation efforts through cold calling, email campaigns, social media engagement, and other proactive outreach methods.
6. Forge and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing clients to ensure ongoing business opportunities.
7. Tailor solutions to client needs by suggesting appropriate products/services, with a keen focus on upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue.
8. Drive the Business Development process from planning to execution, aiming to meet or exceed set objectives and profitability targets.
9. Cultivate new prospects via referrals, networking, online research, and outbound calls, ensuring a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
10. Regularly update and maintain accurate contact details of potential customers in the company's CRM database.
11. Prepare and present detailed reports on Business Development activities, outcomes, and forecasts to senior management.
